Join local author Sarah Lamagna for a spooky stroll around Highland Farm Preserve. Show up in your costume and enjoy a leisurely loop where Sarah will make multiple stops to chat about the environment around the area. And, of course, every stop will include some candy for both kids and adults alike.

Sarah may or may not be dressed up as a huntress wanting to go for an adventure in the woods! As a former ecologist, Sarah is well-versed in all things nature-related and can’t wait to share her knowledge with all the participants.

A prize awaits for the most creative costume! Winner will receive a copy of Sarah’s book, Hiking with Kids New England!

This event is FREE.

Sarah has written two books: Hiking with Kids New England and Swimming Holes of New England. Each one will be offered for a discounted price if you buy day of.

Sarah will guide you on a short hike through Highland Farm Preserve complete with TWO cemeteries. She'll tell you about the history of the preserve, some nature tidbits, and maybe a ghost story or two.

A costume!!! Sarah will be dressed up and will be giving out a prize to the best dressed costume! So don your best outfit and get ready to trick-or-treat.

Bring a bag for getting some candy and goodies!

Also bring good hiking shoes/sneakers and maybe a flashlight in case it gets a little dark before we expect.
